Position Title : Human Resources Generalist (Bilingual – English / Spanish)
Location : Sonoma, CA
Classification : Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Schedule : Monday – Friday | 9 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM
Pay Range : $25 – $30 per hour (DOE)
Reports To : Human Resources Manager / General Manager

Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting all aspects of HR operations, including recruiting, benefits administration, payroll processing, and employee relations. This position serves as the first point of contact for employees, ensuring a positive and compliant work environment. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer day-to-day human resources functions, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and benefits coordination.
- Support and maintain compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Review, track, and document mandatory and non-mandatory training such as safety, anti-harassment, and job-specific certifications.
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring process for open positions in collaboration with department managers.
- Conduct new hire orientation and support employee engagement and recognition programs.
- Assist in administering compensation, benefits, and leave programs.
- Address and resolve employee relations issues and refer sensitive matters to appropriate management.
- Participate in disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations as needed.
- Maintain accurate HR records, data entry, and reporting with confidentiality and precision.
- Stay current on HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required :
Bilingual (English / Spanish) – verbal and written communication required.Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience , including recruiting, payroll, and benefits administration.Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment law compliance.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.Preferred :
Industry-related experience (manufacturing or labeling preferred).Experience using HRIS or payroll software systems.Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional HR or business coursework preferred.At least one year of progressively responsible clerical or administrative experience required; equivalent HR-related experience may be substituted.Work Environment
