Overview

The AV Service Technician at Mesa Electronics will perform field service from diagnosis to repair. Special focus on Crestron, Extron, Bi-Amp, and QSC. Various installation tasks for contracted audiovisual (AV) projects. This includes pulling and terminating cables, installing system equipment and components, fabricating and wiring AV racks, and performing metal fabrication. Additionally, the AV Technician will support the project team by reviewing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and assisting in selecting the Bill of Materials (BOM) during the RFP process. This role involves travel to job sites and may require working in construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform service tasks for audiovisual projects, including diagnostics, customer interaction, troubleshooting, and ensuring the issue is resolved and closed.
• Perform installation tasks for audiovisual projects, encompassing pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projects, and executing metal fabrication as required.
• Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints to facilitate precise installation and integration of AV systems.
• Utilize hand and power tools proficiently to solder, crimp connectors, and perform various other AV systems-related tasks essential to the installation process.
• Assist in basic mechanical fabrication and the wiring of racks to contribute to the successful completion of projects.
• Travel to various job sites as necessary to carry out installations and support project requirements.
• Execute other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in addressing additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and project objectives.
• Assist engineers and programmers with minor programming changes and troubleshooting.
• Review RFPs and support the project team in selecting the BOM and during the overall RFP process.
• Conduct client training on installed systems.
