Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of experience and BLS certification for a home health assignment utilizing Cerner EMR.
Responsibilities
Home health occupational therapy position in a post-acute care settingFlexible day shifts, primarily Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pmAssignment is 13 weeks in durationRequired to cover an assigned geographical regionWill work with a diverse patient population including orthopedic, stroke, joint, and spinal injury casesEvery third weekend coverage is requiredMay be required to cover minor holidays and major holidays if neededBusiness attire with white lab coat required; jeans are not permittedCerner EMR is used in this roleDuties include managing patient care for orthopedic, stroke, joint replacement, and spinal injury diagnosesSupportive team includes perm staff Rehab Aides, OTAs, and PTAsA floor-specific orientation lasting 1.5 to 2 weeks is providedCandidates may not have been employed by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and Dignity, within the past yearFirst-time travelers will be consideredAssigned region coverage required as part of dutiesRequirements
Active Occupational Therapist license required; pending licenses not accepted (license required if applicable)Minimum of 2 years of relevant OT experienceCurrent BLS certification is requiredExperience with Oasis documentation is requiredOne year of experience in a home setting is preferred but not requiredCopy of driver’s license must be providedTwo references required : one supervisor from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and eligibility for rehireBenefits
