The Craig-Dalsimer Division of Adolescent Medicine provides comprehensive care for youth aged 10 to 24. Our aim is to provide high-quality medical care to youth throughout the adolescent years, with a focus on respecting individuality, supporting physical and emotional growth and development, and educating and empowering teens to ultimately take ownership of their healthcare and life decisions. Our research focuses on developing, evaluating and implementing interventions to reach, engage, and improve the lives of vulnerable youth 10 to 24 years old.
This position will support various research needs in the Craig-Dalsimer Division of Adolescent Medicine.
What You Will Do
- Operations and management of all research activities within The Center :
- Develop database of all clinical and translational studies; develop and maintain tools, monitoring reports, processes, programs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) designed to support the Center's research activities.
- Coordinate all regulatory / compliance training of all research personnel in support of the successful completion of the Center's Research activities.
- Identify areas that are underserved and make recommendations for re-allotment of resources.
- Attend all Clinical Research seminars and meetings within the Center.
- Provide administrative leadership and support for clinical research investigators and coordinators.
- Work with the Center Director or AD to develop, organize, maintain, and manage the infrastructure and resources necessary for supporting a quality research program.
- Provide administrative leadership and oversight to center staff; organize and supervise research teams.
- May oversee the recruitment, training, assessment, and retention of staff based on the needs of the area. Review / screen potential applicants for clinical research support staff.
- Create and revise position descriptions and evaluations for research personnel.
- Organize, monitor and assist with review, editing, and submission process of manuscripts, articles, and other publications as needed as well as preparation process for presentations at scientific meetings.
- Streamline the process of preparing manuscripts for submission
- Work with coordinators to track and prepare journal reviews, articles
- Oversee coordinators; organize and prepare bibliographies
- Review galleys and proofs, as needed, for final submission
- Communications
- Communicate with NIH or other sponsors / parties involved to ensure that current guidelines are being adhered to; Interface with Investigators as necessary
- Serve as liaison between Research Administration and investigators
- Collect, organize, monitor and distribute information; organize and submit materials
- Budgets / Purchasing
- Work with Resource Coordinator on budgets for grants
- Streamline the process for ordering of materials for research projects.

At least seven (7) years of clinical research or research administration experience RequiredAt least three (3) years of leadership, management or supervisory experience RequiredPrevious experience in grant writing and / or grants management and coordination RequiredPrevious experience in financial management, including budget preparation and management RequiredAt least ten (10) years of clinical research or research administration experience in a clinical research or academic environmentAt least five (5) years of leadership, management or supervisory experience in a clinical research or academic environment PreferredAt least one (1) year of financial management experience, including budget preparation and management with a hospital or medical school environment PreferredPrevious experience in resource management, project management and coordination PreferredPrevious experience in editing, including manuscript preparation, galleys, proofs or similar PreferredPrevious experience in pediatric research PreferredSkills and Abilities

SALARY RANGE : $98,820.00 - $126,000.00 Annually
Salary ranges are shown for full-time jobs. If you're working part-time, your pay will be adjusted accordingly.
This job is eligible for an incentive program.
