The Human Resources Manager provides human resources support to field operations while partnering with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure the implementation and execution of key company-wide HR initiatives. The Human Resources Manager provides proactive planning and day-to-day solutions, expert counsel, and accurate and timely HR information to the operational management team and employees.
The incumbent is accountable for carrying out the vision and mission of the Human Resources Department through interaction and teamwork while supporting the operational management team’s business plan.
Specific Accountabilities
- Responsibilities may include cultural transformation, management development, succession planning, team building, restructuring, dispositions, and new market / location development.
- Multi-state employment compliance and experience advising field leaders across jurisdictions; alignment with federal, state, and provincial (where applicable) requirements.
- Assists with implementation and reinforcement of the Performance Management Program while providing guidance and support to management for issues relating to employee relations including performance management, discipline, and conflict resolution.
- Employee relations and investigations; expeditiously coordinates the investigation of employee concerns and complaints, including Respectful Workplace complaints, and EEOC / Human Rights complaints, and prepares appropriate reports / responses.
- Working with the COO to ensure compliance with Federal, Provincial, and State employment legislation.
- Partners with management to develop compensation and job structures, providing guidance on issues such as salary administration, incentive plans, job duties, market pricing, and internal equity issues.
- Assists in the development and implementation of Human Resources initiatives and programs. Provides support and interpretation of company policies and procedures.
- Works with Learning and Development to review current and proposed training materials for recommended changes that support operations and facilitates training sessions as needed.
- Works with recruitment team to participate in the selection process for regional and senior leadership level team positions.
Technical Requirements
