MSAG is seeking a Vice President of Operations responsible for supporting MSAG delivery, operations, and growth functions. This role is a part-time, hourly position providing direct support to project teams, fostering positive client relationships, overseeing operational processes, and partnering with executive leadership to drive organizational growth and efficiency. The successful candidate will have deep government contracting experience providing exceptional customer support and leading successful operations and growth initiatives.

Location : The position is remote with occasional travel to MSAG offices, customer sites, and / or partner locations as required.

Status : Part-time hourly, non-exempt position, averaging up to 20 hours per week. This role is not eligible for company-sponsored health benefits.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee business operations to ensure effective execution of company objectives.
  • Develop, refine, and implement scalable operational policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Support cross-functional coordination among operation and Delivery teams.
  • Ensure contract compliance with federal regulations, agency requirements, and contract terms.
  • Provide hands-on support to Program and Project Managers as needed to ensure contract continuity and the successful delivery of client requirements within scope, schedule, cost, and performance standards.
  • Assist with risk mitigation, issue resolution, and corrective action planning.
  • Support contract transitions, onboarding, and staffing strategies to maintain continuity of operations.
  • Drive communication strategies that keep clients informed, engaged, and confident in project execution.
  • Partner with executive leadership to support organizational planning and growth strategy.
  • Participate in business development activities as needed, including proposal support, operational input to pricing, and capture planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in government contracting operations.
  • Strong knowledge of federal contracting and leading teams.
  • PMP Certification
  • Demonstrated success in supporting project teams and managing client relationships.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and handle sensitive client issues with professionalism.
