About The Position

Job Title : Radiologic Technologist, CT Technologist

Experience : Two (2) years of previous radiology experience

License : Montana Licensure (Radiologic Technologist)

Certifications : American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) advanced certification in CT

Must-Have : Current CT Certification

Description :

This position involves delivering high-quality CT and X-Ray exams to assist in diagnosis or treatment.

The Radiologic Technologist independently performs CT and X-Ray procedures.

They produce images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.

The role supports outpatient and inpatient settings with a variable schedule.

Graduate of an accredited Radiology program or equivalent is required.

Documented competencies in Radiology and CT are necessary.

American Heart Association BLS must be obtained within 60 days of hire.

An associate or bachelor’s degree in health care-related studies is preferred.

Responsibilities include performing quality CT and X-Ray / fluoroscopic exams and procedures as requested by medical staff.

The position requires operation with limited supervision while maintaining high attention to detail and customer needs.

The Radiologic Technologist assists medical staff in other departments during exams and procedures as necessary and appropriate.

Ancillary duties are required to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures.

Documentation must be completed in the designated area for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.

Retrieval of written orders and related health information ensures timely performance and reporting of exams and procedures.

The role demands sound judgment, patience, and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.

Employees must exercise tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintain confidentiality.

The Radiologic Technologist must perform essential job functions successfully in a busy and stressful environment.

Learning of current and new computer applications and office equipment utilized is necessary.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.

The position requires the ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.

Regular and sustained attendance is required for this role.

It may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek.

Weekend and after-hours shifts may be a requirement.

On-call work may be needed to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.

Physical requirements include lifting repeatedly up to 50 pounds.

Maintaining a sitting posture for extended periods may be necessary.

The role involves standing and walking repeatedly within the work area.

Climbing is rarely needed, and twisting, bending, and stooping must be performed repeatedly.

Reaching above shoulder level and pushing / pulling repeatedly may be necessary.

Fine-finger movements are continuously utilized in this position.

Close visual acuity is required to prepare and analyze data and to read various materials.

Cognitive skills necessary include learning new tasks, remembering processes, and completing tasks independently.

Exposures to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, various chemicals and medications, and infectious diseases are continuous.
