Housekeeper
Five temporary, full-time positions available from 04 / 01 / 2026 to 11 / 01 / 2026 at Loey R Bar & Restaurant Inc, d / b / a Driftwood located at 590 N State St., St. Ignace, MI 49781. Duties include cleaning motel rooms, stripping / remaking beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming / dusting, bringing laundry to laundry room, stocking laundry carts, informing the Front Desk when rooms are ready, and general cleaning. Thirty-five hours per week. Varying number of hours per workday depending on shift. Sun-Sat 9AM-5PM. Four to five days per week. Days off vary. OT hours possible. No minimum education required. No minimum experience is required. Travel will not be required. Wage : $15.18 / hr; OT Wage : $22.77 / hr. Workers paid biweekly. Optional board / lodging available at a cost to be deducted from pay if elected. Cost of housing : $100 / week. Housing deposit : $200 to be returned at the end of employment pending a clean room inspection. In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, employers are required to provide earned sick time to employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business. On the job training provided. Raises and / or bonuses may be offered to any worker in the specified occupation, at the company's sole discretion, based on individual factors including work performance, skill, and tenure. Single workweek will be used to compute wages due. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for workers' reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence provided at a rate of at least $16.28 / day during travel to a maximum of $68 / day with receipts / documentation of actual expenses. H2B Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job, and guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12 week period of total employment period.
