IIA has a rare opportunity for an Application Engineer to join our team in either our Irvine, CA or Minnetonka, MN A2LA accredited Metrology Lab.
Position Summary
The Application Engineer is a key contributor within IIA’s Metrology Lab, responsible for delivering high-quality engineering services to clients. This role involves operating advanced measurement technologies such as CT and laser scanning systems, preparing detailed project quotes, and executing complex projects including reverse engineering, inspection, and modeling. The engineer serves as a technical liaison, fostering strong client relationships. Success in this role requires a blend of technical expertise, customer-facing communication skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement and innovation in metrology services.

Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred; technical degree required.
Experience :
Skills
Certifications : NDT Level 2 or 3 Computed Tomography (CT) and Radiography (Rad) certification strongly preferred.
U.S. Citizenship required.
