Key Responsibilities for Dentists :

  • Show compassion, effective communication, and expertise in diagnosing and treating dental conditions
  • Deliver routine cleanings, preventive care, and develop strategies for improved dental hygiene
  • Perform a variety of dental procedures including extractions, root canals, and cavity fillings
  • Address issues related to bite alignment and dental overcrowding
  • Apply dental agents such as sealants and whitening treatments
  • Prescribe medications for dental conditions and administer sedatives or anesthesia as necessary
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including x-rays
  • Maintain detailed patient oral health records
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for holistic patient care

    • Requirements for Dentists :

  • Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) or Dental Medicine (DMD)
  • Active state license and malpractice insurance
  • Additional certifications or licenses may be necessary
  • Proficiency in using computer applications and healthcare databases
  • Compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of dental procedures and tools
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities
