HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your Role :

Dedicated to CT Surgery, in collaboration with the surgical team (and others), participates in surgical patients’ perioperative assessments.

Assists surgeons (under direction / supervision of the same) during surgical or invasive operative procedures.

Participates in postoperative rounds and treatments; evaluates patients’ progress toward obtaining desired outcomes.

Assess patients’ and / or family members’ knowledge level; provides appropriate education to same.

Performs miscellaneous duties not expressly described herein.

Reports To :

RN [Registered Nurse] / Nurse Manager (JC : 031001)

Supervises :

None.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education :

Associate degree in nursing.

Successful completion of a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) program accredited by the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN).

Preferred Education :

Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Required Experience :

Two (2) years of perioperative registered nursing experience.

Preferred Experience :

Two (2) years of perioperative first assistance experience.

Required Certification / License / Registry :

Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (, Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act) [includes multistate compact licensure].

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) certified instructor.

Preferred Certification / License / Registry :

One or more of the following : Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) credential from AORN.Registered Nurse Assistant at Surgery (RNAS-C) credential from the National Assistant at Surgery Certification (NASC).Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) credential from NASC.
