Duties and Responsibilities
- Projector, flat panel, screen installation and calibration
- The management of van stock and tools as well as van maintenance and appearance
- Meet with project manager to ensure timeline and expectations
- Review sales order, product list and scope of work prior to deploying equipment
- Responsible for all aspects of onsite installation of AV systems
- Set up, pre-configure and program networks, control systems, cameras and NVRs
- Daily updates to project documentation and work orders in job management software
- Accurate time clock entries and job costing
- Make decisions and be held accountable to time and materials
- Customer service, including the ability to work with high profile and high demand customers
- Guardianship and preservation of client confidentiality and network / home security
- Adherence to state and federal laws, including adherence to traffic laws
- On call rotation may be required
- Local travel to job sites required
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
A minimum of 4+ years of experience in AV installation or a similar industryMust possess an understanding of all systems including audio, video, security, lighting, and integration of all installed brands (Control4, Savant, Lutron, Crestron)Must be able to read home schematics, plans or blueprintsBasic wiring and connectivity skills as it pertains to low voltage standardsTrouble shooting skills are essentialPrior experience in rough in and trim out work, preferably in custom integration or related industryStrong understanding of wiring fundamentals and construction techniquesDetail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanshipDemonstrated professionalism and the ability to interact courteously with clients and stakeholdersAttention to detail, particularly regarding key component placement and system wiringQualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in low voltage systems is a plusMust pursue continuing education on systems including audio, video, security, and lightingExcellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environmentBasic computer skills with the ability to become competent in in-house job management softwareValid driver's license, clean driving record, and pass a criminal background checkSecurity license or experience preferredPhysical Requirements
