Job descriptionPreferred schedule : procedures in the morning, clinic in the afternoon Call : 10 days / month (negotiable), shared with hospital Procedure locations : Main THR facility in Stephenville + optional privileges at Granbury and Comanche County Medical Center Support team : 1 : 1 Medical Assistant, dedicated front office, department-specific practice administrator Benefits set to be offered include Malpractice Insurance, CME Allowance, Marketing Expenses, Production Incentives, a sign-on bonus and possible partner buy-in after 12 months. Board-Certified / Eligible General Surgeon (MD or DO) Experience preferred; must be comfortable working independently Collaborative, compassionate, and interested in serving a close-knit community Passion for practicing full-spectrum general surgery Interest in long-term commitment and potential for partnership Stephenville Medical and Surgical Clinic was established in 1929 and is a multispecialty clinic serving Erath, Stephenville, and surrounding areas. The clinic has providers in Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics / Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, and Radiology. The complex includes a 30,000 square foot facility with physicians offices, radiology services that include digital mammography, sonography, nuclear studies, BMD, plain films and mobile MRI. They also perform in-house CLIA certified laboratory tests and have an on-site pharmacy. Texas Health Stephenville is a 98-bed facility serving Stephenville and the surrounding communities. It is designated as a Level IV Trauma Center by the Texas Department of State Health Services and earned a designation as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology. It is also designated as a Baby-Friendly Hospital by the World Health Organization and UNICEF. Stephenville is about 70 miles southwest of Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas with easy access to metropolitan amenities and a major airport, yet isolated from big city stress. This community has a rich western heritage in a beautiful country setting next to the Bosque River. Known as the Cowboy Capital of the World and the City of Champions, Stephenvilles residents have strong work ethics and take pride in family-values.

We are currently looking to hire a BC / BE general surgeon for our multispecialty group in Stephenville, TX. We are replacing a long-standing surgeon, offering the opportunity to step into a busy and established practice with full support and room to grow.
Were looking for a confident, autonomous surgeon who is comfortable practicing broad-spectrum general surgery in a high-demand, low-competition area. You'll be the primary surgeon within the practice and play a vital role in serving a diverse, community-oriented patient population.
Position Highlights
- Full-spectrum general surgery : Appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colonoscopy, thyroid, breast, and more.
- Open to modifying schedule based on candidates unique skill sets
- Patient demographics : Mix of pediatric (12+), adult, Medicare (40%), Medicaid, and commercial
- Clinic & Procedure Schedule :
2 OR days + 2 clinic days / week (flexibility to optimize scheduling preferred)
