Job Title : Project Manager (Energy domain)

• Location : 100% remote (option)
• Hours : Must work Central Time Zone hours (8 AM – 5 PM)
• Travel : Occasional travel may be required to Energy office in Madison, WI and / or Cedar Rapids, IA , depending on candidate’s location and project need.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (PM) for a contract role focused on large-scale Technology / IT software projects and programs. The ideal candidate is accountable, driven, and a critical problem solver with a proven track record in waterfall-based software implementation projects, particularly those involving vendors and consulting partners.

A background in IT beyond project management is highly preferred, as this role requires both technical fluency and strategic insight. In addition to leading project execution, the PM should be eager to understand the business and technical functions that underpin the projects they manage. Experience in utility operations is beneficial but not required.

This PM will join a collaborative team supporting a large, strategic program. Reporting to the Program Manager, they will own and lead a dedicated sub-project, ensuring alignment with the broader program goals, fellow PMs, and organizational strategy. Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills are essential.

The PM will play a key role in ensuring project success by navigating blockers and driving outcomes.

JOB SUMMARY : Responsible for the successful initiation, planning, development, administration, risk management, implementation, control, and closure of single or multiple large sized projects across multiple business units through the Program and Project Management department.
