Key Job Details - Wilmington, NC Nursing Jobs Location : Wilmington, North Carolina 28401 Healthcare Setting : Medical Surgical / Oncology Unit Employment Type : Travel Nursing Contract Start Date : November 24, 2025 End Date : February 23, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks (option to extend) Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (18 : 45 - 07 : 15) Hours per Week : 36 Patient Ratio : 1 : 6 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Orientation : 24 hours (2 shifts) Estimated Weekly Salary Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1700 - $1750 Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg RN experience in an inpatient hospital setting Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or compact state (required at start) BLS certification (required) Clinical skills : colostomy care, port access, blood product administration, central and peripheral line management, PICC line management, heparin and insulin administration, surgical drains, chest tubes, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions, wound care / wound vac Epic charting experience preferred Must pass EKG testing prior to start First-time travel nurses welcome! Preferred : CPI certification, charge nurse experience, OCN certification Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with medical-surgical and oncology diagnoses Administer chemotherapy / biotherapy (IV, PO, or injection) as needed Float to similar units and alternate care locations within the hospital as required Participate in Storm Team / Hurricane Team during catastrophic events or disasters Attend monthly staff meetings and complete required modules and orientation Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and more Utilize PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR for medication management, documentation, and communication Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including attendance and fatigue guidelines Wilmington offers an exceptional quality of life with easy access to the Atlantic Ocean, a thriving downtown, and a welcoming healthcare community.
