The shifts have been going onto Monday through Saturday with the potential of working from 6AM-2PM / 4PM. We need someone flexible and hardworking to make this schedule work!

Job Summary :

We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Yard Operator to join our team at our Curtis, WA facility. This role is vital to the efficient handling, organization, and movement of treated and untreated wood products. The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable working in outdoor environments, and possesses a strong ability to read and accurately use a measuring tape.

THIS JOB WORKS THROUGH ALL THE SEASONS. CANDIDATES MUST BE WILLING TO WORK OUTDOORS IN HOT AND COLD CONDITIONS

Key Responsibilities :

• Accurately measure and mark wood utility poles according to customer specifications using a measuring tape.
• Drill holes into poles with precision based on client specs, ensuring placement is within 1 / 8 inch tolerance .
• Hammering throughout the shift repeatedly.
• Throwing firewood over shoulder, approximately 15lbs-20lbs repeatedly throughout your shift.
• Interpret work orders and measurement guides to ensure correct hole patterns and dimensions.
• Operate and maintain drilling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect finished poles to verify accuracy of drilled holes and overall quality.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and follow all safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure orders are completed on time and to spec. Take orders and advice constructively.
