Responsibilities Position is in a telemetry unit at an acute care hospital Day shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts from 7 : 00 to 19 : 30 Patient ratios are 1 : 5-6 in the telemetry unit Required to work 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period Floating within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals is required Use of telemetry monitoring, cardiac medications, and drips (no titration involved) EPIC is utilized as the charting system; EPIC experience preferred No on-call requirements Responsibilities include monitoring telemetry patients and administering cardiac medications and drips as assigned Must complete fit testing; facial hair must allow for proper mask fit Compliance modules must be completed prior to start Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract and no RTO permitted during the first week First-time travelers are accepted All standard travelers can work up to 18 months before a mandatory 3-month break Parking is provided free of cost Holiday coverage is expected as scheduled Requirements Active MO or compact state RN license required Minimum of 2 years telemetry nursing experience required Certifications required : BCLS and NIHSS; ACLS and CPI preferred Ability to read cardiac rhythms and administer cardiac medications and drips EPIC charting experience preferred No artificial or nail enhancements; blue (navy) uniform required; no crocs with holes Must reside outside a 75-mile radius; locals are not accepted Candidates may submit with a pending license if allowed by state rules No previous permanent employment at the facility within the last year Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627050.
