Position Summary :
The Account Manager is the main representative of PAI in the field. This position is for an individual that is motivated by the desire to see themselves, their company and their customers succeed as partners. You will be supported by and work closely with Inside Sales, Estimators and Applications Engineering to create accurate and timely project proposals. Employer emphasizes and coaches a Team approach to problem solving throughout the organization.
Daily activities will involve :
- Creating new sales opportunities with new and existing customers
- Contacting new customers that have made an inquiry via our website
- Acting as the primary point of contact for new RFQ’s and project inquiries
- Meeting with customers on-site at their facilities to get a first-hand understanding of project requirements
- Taking field measurements and collecting other technical data onsite
- Reading and understanding technical specifications, drawings and terms & conditions
- Making sketches to communicate concepts or basic intentions before Inside Sales creates formal drawings
- Communicating risks associated with individual customers, terms, specifications or projects to Management
- Communicating customer needs back to PAI Applications and Sales support personnel
- Working with Applications and other departments that support Sales in developing solutions
- Contacting suppliers to help Inside Sales locate and price component parts or buyout equipment that will be integrated into each project
- Reviewing formal quotes for accuracy prior to sending to customers
- Tracking quotes and performing follow-ups
- Clearly communicating current lead times and delivery expectations to customers throughout the quoting process and prior to accepting a PO
- Ensure that each project is as “clean” as possible before accepting PO to avoid delays in approvals, engineering and manufacturing which will help maintain job profitability
Basic Requirements :
Willing to travel +50%MUST HAVE 5+ years of experience in custom equipment (OEM) sales, project management or related experienceUnderstanding of various product manufacturing processes as it relates to material handlingOther basic computer skills (Word, Excel)Must be able to balance personal workloads to meet changing deadlinesPlease submit resume confidentially.
