Collections Representative

A leading manufacturer and distributor of wheel service, alignment, automotive vehicle inspection, and shop productivity equipment is seeking a qualified AR / Collections Representative to come in and assist their team. They are needing someone that will be a hands-on, proactive self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This person will be responsible for collecting open receivables and processing customer payments timely and accurately. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment.

Collections Representative Compensation and Hours :

La Vergne, TN

Temporary (2-3 months)

In Office (No remote options)

$23-25 an hour

Monday Friday, 7 : 30am 4 : 30pm OR 8 : 00am 5 : 00pm

Collections Representative Requirements :

3+ of accounts receivable and collections experience in a fast-paced environment

Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail

Ability to work cooperatively with other employees, clients, and customer base

Computer literate with demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications Word and Excel

Experience with AS400 / PRMS platform and / or SAP S / 4 HANA a plus

Knowledgeable of credit / collection laws

Excellent ability to multi-task

Excellent attendance

Collections Representative Responsibilities :

Drive collections through execution of standard work via email and phone communication

Apply payments according to remittance details provided by customer

Meet key metrics established for the position and department

Research and resolve customer deductions, disputes, and issues

Influence customer to take desired actions to resolve outstanding issues / invoices

Identify uncollectible amounts and be proactive with potential bad debt exposure

Set-up and maintain customer accounts

Identify and collaborate on solutions for billing and AR deficiencies

Work cross-functionally with sales, customer service, and service as needed

Participate in system updates and improvements

Maintain good communication with internal stakeholders to overcome obstacles

Ad-hoc projects and analyses and other duties as assigned
