Job descriptionShift are Monday - Saturday between 5 : 30 am - 10 : 30 pm with rotating weekends. Occasional Sunday due to Holidays. Must be able to work primarily 5x8's and a combination of 2x8's and 2x12's when needed depending on department needs. Must have Dialysis and Charge Nurse Experience - will be Charge Nurse during shifts. Primary location : Unity Hospital Dialysis 1555 Long Pond Rd. Rochester, NY. Floating to other locations as needed. Facility can call off up to 3 shifts for 13-week contract and 2 shifts less than 13-week contract. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine individual care needs.
- Administer dialysis treatments while monitoring vital signs and patient responses.
- Maintain high standards of care in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Perform catheterization procedures as necessary, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about dialysis procedures, lifestyle adjustments, and ongoing care requirements.
- Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress accurately in medical records.
- Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with best practices in dialysis care.
