Management and Technology Consulting (MTC) is Stantec's industry leading management consulting team, recognized in providing asset and organizational performance, financial, economic, funding, planning, as well as business and operational technology consulting services to communities and utilities across North America. We partner with our clients to tackle complex problems and design fit-for-purpose solutions that address their unique needs. The MTC team is also responsible for the business development and delivery of innovative digital related work and consulting services embedded in broader engineering / infrastructure projects and stand-alone projects.
Your Key Responsibilities
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Demonstrated technical proficiency in utility management and related areas such as (including but not limited to), strategic planning, finance, organizational performance, digital solutions, process improvement, data analytics, and technology implementations. Network of active client contacts and relationships with business development experience. Ability to lead and deliver complex assignments that require the application of broad knowledge with a high degree of initiative and independence. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office 365 suite of tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Teams. Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro and other business systems required. Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills. Capable of presenting / sharing analyses in an interactive work setting while being able to adjust in a live setting. Self-starter capable of efficiently and proactively working independently as well as with a geographically dispersed team on multiple projects simultaneously. Strong sense of Team. Always willing to step in and take on additional responsibility for the good of the entire Team. Ability to recommend and implement changes to policies and establish procedures. Provides input to the annual performance process and career development goals of team members. Strong attention to details, as MTC deliverables are open to public review and scrutiny. Experience and ability to work across disciplines. 15+ years of direct management and supervision responsibilities. Experience with municipal services, including asset management, finance, and planning - Beneficial to have certification or background in Prosci change management or other equivalent change management or process improvement methods. Beneficial to have experience with project management and PMP certification.

Education and Experience
B.A. or B.S. in Business, Economics, or Engineering disciplines. MBA or MPA is preferred. 20 plus years of progressive experience in utility management and / or technology implementations within the water infrastructure industry (or other utility industry) either with a utility and / or as a consultant.
Office Location & Working Conditions
Typical office environment working with computers. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Willing to travel as needed; mostly regional. Travel may be 10 to 20%. Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are required.
