Equipment Technician (Graveyard Shift)

Overview

This is a direct hire position, 100% on site in Terminal Island, CA (Long Beach area). This is a 2nd shift position, Wednesdays to Saturdays from 5 PM to 3 AM. Up to $35 / hour.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled IT Equipment Technician to join our port automation repair team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting hardware systems essential for our automation processes. This role will involve working closely with our IT, Automation, and Operations teams to ensure seamless operation of hardware components within our automated systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware components including industrial devices, Windows PCs, tablets, LTE hardware, proprietary hardware, and more.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operation of port automation systems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as hardware / software upgrades, patching, and preventative maintenance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand hardware requirements for new projects and provide technical expertise during design and implementation phases.
• Create, develop, and maintain documentation related to hardware configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and system upgrades.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and internal stakeholders regarding hardware-related issues.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend hardware solutions that optimize efficiency and performance.
