As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Telecom Sector in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling designated tech and media locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to support a sense of security, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication and professionalism. Position Type : Full Time

Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance, be 21+ years of age, and be DCJS Armed Certified

Pay Rate : $27.31 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the technology-focused business and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to sensitive areas.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and / or contractors regarding security-related protocols.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents and / or suspicious activities according to site procedures.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency responders when required.
  • Remain alert to potential risks and / or threats to people, property, and company assets in a technology and media environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Hold an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
