The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our organization in a contract capacity as a Legal Operations Analyst. In this role, you will support the management of the eBilling processes for our global legal functions, by ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in the invoicing and payment procedures. The ideal candidate should have a background in legal operations, specifically supporting eBilling operations and systems.

What This Role Will Do

eBilling System Administration

  • Serve as an administrator for global eBilling and Matter Management platform
  • Provide user support, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize system processes
  • Manage invoice lifecycle : resolve discrepancies, reconcile rejected invoices, and coordinate international AP processing
  • Generate ad hoc reports and support Oracle integration readiness activities
  • Deliver training sessions for global legal and finance teams

Vendor Management

  • Maintain relationships with law firms and legal service providers
  • Oversee vendor onboarding / offboarding, including documentation and system setup
  • Drive compliance with Outside Counsel Billing Policy acknowledgements
  • New Legal Matters Process

  • Coordinate system training and support for global teams
  • Validate data mapping between eBilling and Workflow systems
  • Resolve process-related inquiries with legal and finance stakeholders
  • This role may assist with other Legal Operations initiatives as time permits.

    What This Person Will Bring

  • Minimum of 5 years Legal Operations Legal Billing, senior financial / billing analyst experience
  • Hands-on experience administering major Legal eBilling platforms
  • Strong knowledge of Outside Counsel Billing Guidelines, UTBMS codes, and LEDES formats
  • Expert troubleshooting skills for invoice and system issues
  • Demonstrated success in process improvement for eBilling and matter workflows
  • Solid financial acumen, including budgeting and accruals
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, vLookup, etc)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in billing data analysis
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities
  • Basic understanding of legal department processes and technology solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with cross functional collaboration
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Slack and related applications

    The expected compensation for this position is : $46.40 USD - $58.00 USD Hourly. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
