Substitute Teacher

Location : North Brunswick, NJ 08902

Compensation : $174 / day – 1099 Independent Contractor

We are seeking dedicated Substitute Teachers to support students across grades K–12 in all subject areas. Substitute teachers play a vital role in ensuring continuity of instruction and maintaining a positive learning environment when classroom teachers are absent.

Qualifications :

Minimum of 60 college credits OR a Bachelor’s degree

Valid NJDOE Teaching Certificate or Substitute Teacher Certificate (required)

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Flexibility to work across grade levels and subject areas

Ability to follow lesson plans and adapt instruction as needed

Must pass required criminal history background check and provide proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident / immigrant status

Responsibilities :

Deliver lesson plans and instructional activities provided by the classroom teacher

Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment

Support students in achieving daily learning goals

Adapt to different grade levels and subject matter as needed

Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, and other school settings

Communicate with school staff regarding student needs and progress

Uphold district policies and expectations for student behavior and safety
