Delaware Valley Residential Care is currently seeking a Behavioral Therapist to meet the ever-changing behavioral needs our program participants.

Available Shifts :

Tuesday - Saturday 11am-7pm

Responsibilities :

Enhance program participants' functional competence in real-world situations through the attainment / re-attainment of skills through direct retraining, use of compensator strategies, and use of cognitive orthotics and prostheses

Plan, Lead and facilitate team activities both in house and on outings

Maximize residents' participation in groups and activities

Counsels and encourages patients to develop leisure activities

identify, address, de-escalate resident behaviors as necessary

Compose Tally sheets, progress / service notes and all other necessary documents

Prepares progress charts and periodic reports for medical staff and other members of treatment team

Qualifications :

Master's Degree in Psychology, or a closely related Human Services field, required

2 years of experience in Cognitive Therapy, preferred

Ability to lead both group and 1 : 1 sessions

Ability to maintain a positive attitude and promote a positive environment for both team members and participants

Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled

Demonstrated ability to remain calm in tense and high-pressure situations

Proven track record of timeliness and accountability
