Quality Assurance Specialist

Are you passionate about food safety and quality assurance? In the role of Quality Assurance Specialist, you will provide vital support to manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with our robust Kellanova Food Safety Plan. This position is situated at our Rome, GA, Plant, where you will become an essential resource for maintaining the quality and food safety of our beloved products.

This position offers flexibility as it can either be a third shift from 5 : 00 pm to 5 : 00 am with every other weekend off, or a first shift, Monday to Friday from 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 00 PM. Both shifts may require overtime as needed. The starting hourly pay ranges from $22.19 to $27.58, depending on your qualifications.

A Taste of What You'll Be Doing

• Quality Control - Provide on-shift guidance and support for all quality and food safety aspects, including the validation of Certificate of Analyses (COA) for incoming raw materials, response to food safety events, review and verification of Critical Control Points (CCP), execution of the environmental monitoring program, and inspection of all processes before start-up.
• Audit Ready & Safety Driven - Conduct food safety and security audits within the plant, continuously searching for food safety hazards and opportunities for improvement in the plant and process. Perform daily product evaluations and deliver employee training on food safety, HACCP, GMPs, and SOPs. Communicate deficiencies and drive necessary follow-up actions.
• Cross-Functional Support - Collaborate on plant projects, including the introduction of new equipment and products. Lead continuous improvement efforts and take ownership of critical prerequisite programs as an Internal Auditor.
• Detail Oriented - Manage and communicate product holds to front-line leaders, testing and dispositioning holds based on result outcomes. Develop procedures and maintain required quality and food safety documentation as directed.
