What you will do

Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement.

Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.

Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate constraints, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.

Create process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show manufacturing processes, the movement of material, the exchange of information, and key metrics.

Participate in factory safety and ergonomic improvements.

Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on factory expansion, Manufacturing Technology insertion, infrastructure improvements, obsolescence mitigation, and the integration of new capabilities.

Partner with project managers and other functions to execute projects that modify the factory footprint, change the layout of factory equipment, and / or add new capability.

Support competitive bids, factory proposals, business case development for future investments, and Make / Buy / Where analyses.

Qualifications you must have :

Typically requires : Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics. Preferred majors are : Industrial Engineering and Systems Engineering.

5+ years of applicable experience.

Experience / Education with CAD software

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Clearance

Qualifications We Prefer :

Experience / Education with simulation modeling and capacity analysis

Experience / Education with factory layout and work cell design / optimization

Experience / Education with project management

Six Sigma certifications

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
