We are looking for an experienced Financial Reporting Senior Accountant to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data, supporting compliance efforts, and providing insightful financial analysis. This position is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail and a solid background in accounting and financial reporting.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare financial statements and compliance certificates for lenders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Develop schedules to accompany investor reports, providing clear and comprehensive financial data.
• Analyze and review daily cash budgeting and forecasting reports to support effective financial planning.
• Oversee internal audit schedules to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Review and interpret month-end financial results at various organizational levels to identify trends and variances.
• Provide financial statements and supporting schedules required for annual tax filings.
• Conduct research on new accounting standards and ensure compliance with US GAAP regulations.
• Prepare detailed schedules for external audits, ensuring all requirements are met.
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries and account reconciliations with precision.
• Support banking operations and manage special projects or ad hoc tasks as assigned by leadership.
• 2+ years of public accounting experience
• Proficiency in month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Strong expertise in preparing and analyzing financial reports.
• 2+ years of industry experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and related compliance requirements.
• CPA required
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
