ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our client is a leading facilities services organization that has been around for 60+ years, and they are seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Accounting team! Very relaxed and team-oriented work environment! There is often lunches on site, barbeques, and overall a strong sense of community here! The office is located in Fairfield, NJ and are going in daily.
Position Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant
- Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- File and remit state and local sales tax returns.
- Manage fixed assets and lease accounting (ASC842).
- Collaborate with auditors and support process improvements.
- Work cross-functionally to resolve accounting issues.
- Maintain knowledge of accounting practices.
