Microsoft Cloud Operations and Infrastructure (CO+I) is the team behind the cloud. CO+I is responsible for delivering Microsoft web portals, Live and Online Services around the world including infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide. We are looking for a Senior Director of Global Data Center Engineering Strategy to help build future generations of the network that powers the world's largest online services. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of Microsoft's data center designs and strategies. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in data center design, construction, and operations, along with a proven ability to turn strategic vision into actionable outcomes. Responsibilities include developing strategic vision for data center infrastructure that prioritize safety-in-design, availability, scalability, fungibility, and cost efficiency. The individual will collaborate closely with upstream stakeholders and partner teams to refine design requirements and lead the CO+I Building Information Modeling (BIM) and LEED programs, driving innovative solutions that align with Microsoft's sustainability goals. Technical Program Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $163,000 - $296,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $220,800 - $331,200 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
