Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of CT experience and active ARRT certification for a day / evening shift assignment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is based in a hospital diagnostic imaging department
  • Performs computed tomography procedures, producing diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation
  • May be assigned radiographer duties including fluoroscopic, surgical, and portable radiographic exams
  • Uses advanced imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories
  • 12-hour shifts (0600-1830, 0830-2100, or 1000-2230) with every 4th weekend required
  • Participation in holiday rotation and on-call rotation is expected
  • Responsible for prepping patients, providing instructions, and minimizing patient anxiety
  • Administers and prepares contrast media, including maintaining IV access when needed
  • Practices aseptic technique and universal protocol
  • Provides patient education and assists with supply management and equipment decisions
  • Expected to maintain patient safety during all procedures and transportation
  • May provide practical instruction for students and peers
  • Scrub or dress code requirements per hospital policy

  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program
  • Minimum of 2 years of CT experience required
  • Active ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications required
  • Approved BLS or CPR certification required
  • IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required
  • Active state license required if applicable
