Co-Packing Analyst
The Co-Packing Analyst (Supply Chain Planning Specialist) is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of strategies for U.S. rework product requirements focusing on efficiencies, and optimal costs throughout the business. This position will focus on retail specific packaging, as well as assembling data, supporting collaborative vendor relationships and ensuring product availability through accurate inventory sourcing and management strategies.
Essential Functions
- Product packaging SME for customer specific and industry requirements, ensuring compliance. Monitor performance metrics for improvement and corrective action
- Identify and negotiate materials and / or services from suppliers in accordance with purchasing guidelines and grant of authority
- Provide status reports to Management along with detailed analysis, best practices and industry knowledge to obtain targets. Track and analyze vendor performance initiatives focusing on cost savings and or avoidance goals
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines and expectations for product launches and modifications are in alignment
- Manage and monitor forecast and sales variances with Demand Planning to understand risks to inventory and impacts to customer orders, ensuring timely escalations. Create WIP forecast for 3rd party packagers with a focus on capacity and timelines
- Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions to ensure back-up support can effectively perform job functions in absence
- May perform other duties as required
Minimum Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor's degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or equivalent combination of experience and educationMinimum 5 years of work experience in the fields of Supply Chain, Purchasing, Operations, Logistics, Production Control, Inventory Management and / or Master Planning / Scheduling requiredExperience in a Pharmaceutical and / or Consumer Packaged Goods environment strongly preferred with knowledge of industry standards for packaging and Ecommerce requirementsFamiliarity with manufacturing and production in a pharmaceutical environment dealing with lot codes and controls, FDA regulations, expiration dates, primary and secondary packagingMust be proficient with MS office software (e.g. Excel, Word) and have experience with reporting toolsProject management skills preferredExperience in MRP systems; Oracle experience preferredExcellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and ManagementWorking Conditions & Physical Requirements
