About the Job
We are currently seeking a Commercial Banker to join our Commercial team in Perry Hall.
The Commercial Banker is responsible for acquiring new and maintaining existing Commercial and Industrial (C&I) relationships for business clients with annual revenues above $5MM - underwriting, structuring, and closing of commercial loans. This individual is a proactive team player who excels at identifying client needs and delivering comprehensive banking solutions through close collaboration with internal partners. As a Commercial Banker, the incumbent will work closely with senior management to develop and implement strategies and tactics to achieve Rosedale Bank's Commercial banking goals. These goals include lending production, portfolio management, product development, and customer experience. This position also requires the individual to handle a diverse portfolio of commercial clients including work out relationships and problem loans.
In this position you will :
- Acquire, deepen, and retain business banking relationships (new and existing) with a focus on C&I lending opportunities. Develop contacts and relationships with potential business sources.
- Provide financial consultation to current and prospective business customers to help reach their short-term and long-term business goals.
- Underwrite loans by analyzing all necessary data to determine potential borrower's credit worthiness before making a loan decision or recommending a loan for consideration by the Loan Committee.
- Maintains an appropriate balance between credit quality and C&I loan growth by keeping business development and credit risk in appropriate balance. Makes quality loans that do not exceed any limitations established by the Bank or its regulators.
- Monitors, services, and manages commercial loan portfolio, in partnership with the Portfolio Manager, to ensure conformity with terms, proper risk ratings and early identification of potential problems. Ensures timely submission and review of financial information, loan documents and other submissions. Proactively notifies management of credit deterioration and ensures all action items are executed in a timely manner. Services delinquent and problem accounts.
- Represents the Bank as a leader in the assigned market and is active in the local community. Attends networking and community events to develop contacts and generate business.

What we are looking for :
College degree in a business, finance or related field, or equivalent experience in the industry.Minimum five (5) years in the banking industry in C&I lending or business banking with credit analysis / underwriting experience.In depth knowledge of banking industry and all laws and regulations relating C&I lending in a banking environment.Strong credit analysis / underwriting skills and analytical ability.Strong sales / business development and customer service skills.Self-starter and works well independently.Strong negotiation skills.Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, integrity, and ethical conduct.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Working knowledge of personal computers, office software, and other office equipment.Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.Strong presentation skills.WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
