This is a 2nd shift position, and certification is required.
Deliver comprehensive medical care, from addressing minor incidents to serving as an emergency first responder.
Collaborate with Safety Managers to manage and coordinate health services effectively.
Maintain detailed records of workers' compensation claims and assist in scheduling doctor appointments and transportation as needed.
Conduct and oversee pre-employment physicals and drug testing processes, including post-offer, accident-related, and random checks.
Design and implement employee health and wellness programs, encompassing health assessments, immunization initiatives, medical care, wellness education, and counseling.
Foster a strong and positive relationship with the local occupational health clinic for efficient service delivery.
Manage programs related to hearing conservation, heat stress, respiratory protection, and ergonomics, which includes developing and conducting employee training sessions.
Perform all other relevant duties as assigned to support health services.
Current certification as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is mandatory.
Certification as a Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) is preferred or willingness to obtain.
Previous experience in occupational health within a similar environment is an advantage.
Ability to ensure the confidentiality of employee health information is vital.
Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, ADA, and FMLA regulations is essential.
Exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills are crucial for this role.
