LocumJobsOnline is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Neonatal PA in Syracuse, New York, 13203!

About The Position

A Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Neonatology experience is needed to provide locum coverage at a Level III NICU. The provider will cover a 16-bed NICU and well-baby nursery, working closely with neonatologists and NICU staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Coverage is needed due to provider leave and staffing gaps, with weekend availability preferred.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Manage NICU Level III patients, averaging 8–9 per day.
  • Cover well-baby nursery during night shifts.
  • Attend C-sections as required.
  • Supervise NICU nurses and ancillary staff (but not other mid-levels).
  • Perform neonatal procedures including UAC / UVC placement, intubation, chest tube insertion, exchange transfusions, central / arterial line placement, and lumbar punctures.
  • Provide ventilation management (ETT, CPAP, BiPAP).
  • Document all care in Epic EMR.

Job Requirements

  • Board Certified NP (Neonatal) or experienced PA in NICU – Required
  • Active New York License – Required
  • Independent NICU management experience – Required
  • ACLS / BLS and relevant neonatal procedure competency – Required
