Our client in Akron, OH is seeking a personable and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity and the role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with customers, managing collections, and applying payments in a dynamic environment. If you thrive on building relationships, solving problems, and working with data, this position could be a great fit.
Responsibilities :
Manage collections activities, mostly via email outreach
Apply customer payments accurately using integrated portals and accounting systems
Build and maintain positive relationships with customers
Prepare and post journal entries
Review and reconcile accounts receivable transactions
Monitor outstanding transactions at month-end and track delinquencies
Serve as a point of escalation for complex customer inquiries, resolving issues efficiently
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
At least 2 years of accounting experience
Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Details : Contract-to-hire
Hours : 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM, Monday through Friday (no flex)
Onsite position
Pay Details : $23.00 to $28.00 per hour
