• Citizenship Requirements : Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Clearance Requirements : National Background Check with Inquiries, Fingerprints, and Drug Screen.
• Type of Employment : Full-Time, 40 hours per week.
• Estimate Pay : $19.32 - $24.41 / hour.
• Paid Time Off per Year : 40 hours per year, occurring on day one.
• Sick Leave per Year : 56 hours per year, occurring on day one.
• Paid Federal Holidays : Eleven (11) Paid Federal Holidays

Working Hours

The Phlebotomist will normally work from Monday through Friday from 7 : 30 am to 4 : 30 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The Phlebotomist will not work more than 40 hours a week.

Summary of Duties

The Phlebotomist will provide Phlebotomy Services for the prison population at the Federal Transfer Center-Oklahoma, Bureau of Prisons. This includes, but is not limited to, the collection of blood and urine samples, the preparation and tracking of all laboratory samples, the biological specimen preparation and packaging for shipment, and the maintenance of laboratory logs and other records as necessary to comply with Clinical Laboratory Inspection Amendment (CLIA) guidelines.

Qualifications

Attire

The contractor is expected to wear professional clothing while on duty (scrub uniforms are approved). No khaki, orange, or green scrubs. The attire worn shall also be appropriate for the correctional environment in which the contract employee will be performing.

Duties and Responsibilities

The provider is notified, logs results as received, follows up appropriately, and files results in the laboratory and medical record / COPIA.
