Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA for a Construction Project Manager. The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing wet utilities pipeline construction projects, including water, sewer, and storm drain systems, from start to finish, coordinating with various stakeholders, managing budgets, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within scope, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Project Manager will also be responsible for resolving any issues that arise during the construction process.
Duties & Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of wet utilities pipeline construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Lead project teams including field staff, subcontractors, and vendors.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
Monitor project progress and proactively address issues to avoid delays or cost overruns.
Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, inspectors, and internal stakeholders.
Prepare and present project reports, change orders, and documentation.
Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
Analyze and review project plans, bids / submittals, and any other project documentation that is needed
Recommend labor saving and other cost-saving methods
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures and report any unsafe activities to the Safety Supervisor and / or Operations Manager
Other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience managing wet utilities pipeline construction projects.
Strong knowledge of underground utilities, trenching, shoring, and related construction practices.
Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project, Procore, or similar).
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
Familiarity with CAD drawings and utility mapping.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to travel throughout job sites as required.
Walk on uneven terrain including paved areas, gravel / rocks, and dirt / sand is required to access various locations on the construction sites.
May require early morning, evening, or weekend work depending on project needs.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
