Position Overview
The Field Service Engineer II (FSE II) installs, performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots, and repairs the Tablo Dialysis System. Reporting to the Manager, Field Service, this role requires a foundation in engineering principles and the ability to apply them in real-world settings to ensure optimal system performance.
As a key representative of Outset in the field, the FSE II collaborates with clinical staff and patients to deliver responsive, professional support. This role involves diagnosing issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions. The FSE II also collaborates with cross-functional teams—including Production, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales—and provides feedback to R&D to support continuous product improvement. The FSE II may contribute to developing training materials, SOPs, and other documentation to support team knowledge, and must document service activities in alignment with Outset's Quality Management System, while carefully managing assets including tools, equipment, and inventory. This position involves travel within the United States up to 50% with overnight stays.

The Annual Salary range for this position is : $34-40 per hour plus bonus and stock.

Individuals will be required to sit for most of the day and will be required to stand as needed. May require walking on level surfaces for periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear. Proper lifting techniques required to lift up to 75 lbs. Travel via airplane, train, taxi, car as needed.
