Job Summary
The Senior Business Solutions Engineer is responsible for leading the evaluation, implementation, and ongoing support of enterprise applications that enable the companys operations. Acting as the primary liaison between the company and external technology vendors, this role ensures that third-party business systems, such as ERP, Travel Management, CRM (Salesforce), and other enterprise tools, are properly selected, configured, and maintained to meet organizational needs. This person oversees the full lifecycle of technology solutions, from initial requirements gathering and vendor evaluation to deployment, integration, and long-term support, ensuring each system functions efficiently, securely, and aligns with company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend third-party technology solutions that align with business objectives and lead the procurement, configuration, and implementation of enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, Travel Management).
- Coordinate directly with vendors for demonstrations, technical assessments, and contract negotiations and oversee testing, deployment, user training, and post-launch stabilization to ensure successful system adoption.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for ongoing support and issue resolution related to third-party systems and manage vendor relationships to ensure timely updates, troubleshooting, and escalations.
- Oversee integration between external systems and internal business processes and maintain system documentation, configurations, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with department leaders to analyze business needs and identify opportunities to improve workflows through technology; recommend automation, integration, and process improvement initiatives and continuously monitor system usage and performance, proposing optimizations to enhance efficiency.
- Communicate project status, risks, and progress to leadership and key stakeholders and coordinate testing, training, and change management activities during implementation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with software vendors, integrators, and service providers and ensure they comply with company policies, data standards, and security requirements.
Qualifications
Experience with cloud-based enterprise solutions (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Odoo, Salesforce, RingCentral, Concur, etc.).Certifications in relevant systems (Salesforce Administrator, SQL, Internet Protocol Suite (TCP / IP), JavaScript, etc.).Understanding data integration and automation tools (QA Automation, ServiceNow, PowerBI, etc.).Knowledge of IT compliance and system security standards.Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in IT systems implementation, business solutions engineering, or application management.2+ years of customer service experience in a corporate or call center environment preferred.Proven experience leading the implementation and support of ERP, CRM (Salesforce), and Travel / Expense Management systems.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.Equal Employment Opportunity
