Shift Information :

The position is full time; working 7a-7p, three shifts per week.

Currently offering a $7,500 sign on bonus for qualifying full time LVNs.

What you will do :

This LVN position performs clerical and telephone duties; enters physician orders and patient charges into the computer; coordinates the services and supplies from other departments; and assists the primary nurse in the delivery of safe patient / family centered care. This position also requires recognition and interpretation of alarms on the EKG monitoring system; handles potentially stressful situations and multiple tasks simultaneously; and receives, understands and reports the results of medical tests and treatments to the primary nurse.

Required Education :

Graduate of accredited school of nursing

Required Skills :

Computer entry, fax, telephone etiquette, customer service, recognition of dysrhythmias, ability to multitask

Preferred Skills :

Knowledge and ability to perform the skills necessary for the unit specific competencies.

Required Licensure / Registration / Certification :

Current Texas Licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse

Required Experience :

One year nursing experience in a hospital setting. Basic EKG course within 6 months of employment.

Preferred Experience :

One year ICU experience. 12 lead EKG course.
