Role Overview

The Senior Content Marketing Manager is a strategic storyteller and content leader responsible for shaping and executing Self's editorial strategy. This role transforms complex financial topics into engaging, consumer-friendly content that fuels discoverability, builds trust, and drives measurable growth.

You'll manage writers, agencies, and vendors; collaborate with cross-functional teams; and ensure that Self's brand voice is consistent, authoritative, and impactful across every organic touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Strategy & Leadership : Own and execute the editorial strategy aligned to business goals, organic growth, and Self's mission.
• Editorial Development : Produce high-impact content (blogs, guides, landing pages, campaigns, multimedia scripts).
• Create and implement a unified content strategy that addresses SEO, AEO and GEO simultaneously.
• Collaboration : Work with teams across the organization (including product marketing, compliance and creative teams) and vendors to scale production and ensure content supports acquisition, engagement, and retention.
• Research & Analysis : Conduct in-depth analysis of queries, platforms, competitors, and user intent to uncover opportunities and inform content strategy.
• Performance & Optimization : Track performance metrics, analyze results, and refine strategy to maximize ROI.
• Innovation & Trends : Stay current on industry trends, AI / LLM-driven search shifts, and evolving audience behaviors.

Qualifications

Base salary is $88,000-131,000 annually. Individual pay is based on factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, and other job-related reasons.
