Registered Nurse Job Details Location : Columbus, Ohio (43210) - Ohio healthcare jobs Unit : Labor & Delivery, High Risk Obstetrics (13 beds, daily census of 10) Contract Length : 13 weeks (Start : December 1, 2025 - End : March 2, 2026) Estimated Weekly Pay : $2050 - $2100 Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (L&D RN) Patient Age Groups : Neonates, Adolescents, Adults Weekend Coverage : Required Orientation : 36 hours Labor & Delivery RN Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience in a hospital or clinical healthcare setting Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - compact or Ohio state license required BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required NCC C-EFM certification or AWHONN Advanced Proficiency with Epic charting system IV start and Labor & Delivery experience required Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Ability to float to Antepartum and other hospital units Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal leadership role) Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Previous travel nursing experience preferred Registered Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive patient care in labor, delivery, and high-risk obstetrics settings Perform IV starts and maintain central lines (CVC / PICC) Assist with sterile speculum exams, cervical cerclage, and tubal ligation procedures Circulate for and recover C-section deliveries Support breastfeeding, lactation, and postpartum care Conduct APGAR scoring, pain assessment, and pain management Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns using EFM and IUPC Administer medications including Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate therapy Perform wound assessment, fundus, lochia, and perineum care Float to Antepartum and other hospital units as needed Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, Physical Therapy, Respiratory, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team as a Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) in Columbus, Ohio.
