Title : Quality Assurance Technician

Shift : 1st Shift, Monday - Thursday, 5 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM.

Salary : $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Who we are :

Located in Indiana, our client manufactures custom-engineered steel wire and sheet metal products. This facility has approximately 40 employees, and we are hiring to fill this high-priority Quality Assurance role.

Quality Assurance Technician Role :

This role exists to maintain production quality and drive continuous improvement by performing detailed inspections of steel wire products. You will be responsible for ensuring all products meet exacting standards and confidently communicating those standards on the production floor.

Quality Assurance Technician Responsibilities :

• Perform first piece, hourly, last piece, and incoming inspections
• Maintain a consistent presence on the production floor to ensure quality adherence
• Determine if materials should be scrapped or if rework is feasible
• Identify opportunities for improvement to enhance product quality and reduce costs
• Accurately enter scrap and rework data into Excel
• Keep the non-conformance area clean and organized
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Quality Manager

Quality Assurance Technician Reporting Relationships :

The Quality Assurance Technician reports to the Quality Manager. This role has no direct reports.

Additional Information :

Physical Requirements : Ability to stand for extended periods. Capability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Work Environment : The Quality Technician will work in a production environment that requires safety glasses and earplugs at all times. The workspace involves temperature variations (45°ree;F to 110°ree;F), exposure to fumes, solvents, and dust.
