Our client is seeking a meticulous and skilled Lab Assistant to fill a 3-month contract role in their Pompano Beach, FL histology laboratory. This on-site position involves the full spectrum of histology duties, supporting patient diagnostics in a high-volume, regulated environment.

responsibilities :

• Tissue Preparation & Analysis : Perform all routine activities for preparing slides for microscopic evaluation by the pathologist, strictly adhering to established protocols.
• Core Histology : Expertly accession, label, and process all tissue samples. Perform routine embedding, microtomy, and prepare slides for Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) staining.
• Specialized Staining : Prepare solutions and reagents and perform required special stain procedures. May also assist with Immunohistochemistry (IHC) testing.
• Quality & Compliance : Strictly adhere to quality control policies, meticulously document all QC activities, and ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP , and all federal / local regulations.
• Lab Operations : Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment. May provide technical guidance to other lab staff.
