Job Summary
The Junior Developer supports the Actuarial Modeling and Data Management Platform by collaborating with the Actuary team, IT data group, and primary vendor. This role focuses on data development, integration, and technical support, with opportunities to grow in actuarial, risk, or financial systems engineering. It’s ideal for candidates with strong Python skills seeking to enter the insurance tech space.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and enhance platform features using Python.
Build data pipelines and integration workflows for actuarial modeling.
Collaborate on performance tuning and ensure application reliability.
Participate in testing, verification, and solution deployment.
Support actuarial model development with data and tools.
Enable model analytics and workflow automation with valuation teams.
Required Experience
2–5 years of hands-on Python development experience.
Background in supporting cross-functional or financial systems.
Nice-to-Have Experience
Familiarity with actuarial, risk, or insurance platforms.
Exposure to C++ or high-performance computing environments.
Required Skills
Strong proficiency in Python.
Understanding of SDLC principles : testing, debugging, version control.
Basic knowledge of SQL and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
Strong problem-solving and documentation ability.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to C++
Knowledge of actuarial or financial systems
Additional Skills
Willingness to learn C++ or similar tools
