MAX Fitness & Wellness (formerly THE MAX Challenge)  is a premier fitness brand known for changing lives through our unique combination of fitness, nutrition, and motivation.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced  Fitness Center Operations Manager  to join our team at our  Montclair location.

Responsibilities Oversee daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and member experience.

Ensure every member receives exceptional service and support throughout their fitness journey.

Drive revenue growth through effective sales, marketing, and community engagement strategies.

Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and organizations to promote the  MAX Fitness & Wellness  brand.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility at all times.

Collaborate with the  MAX Fitness & Wellness  corporate team to ensure compliance with brand standards and operational procedures.

Develop and implement programs that improve member retention and overall satisfaction.

Manage inventory, ordering, and budgeting efficiently.

Foster a positive, supportive, and high-performing team culture.

Requirements Minimum of  2 years of hospitality or fitness industry experience .

Strong leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to motivate teams.

Excellent customer service skills and relationship-building abilities.

Understanding of fitness industry trends and best practices.

Experience implementing sales and marketing strategies to drive growth.

Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends (occasional on-call availability).

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Experience managing budgets, inventory, and ordering processes.

Passion for fitness, wellness, and helping others achieve their goals.

Must have a  reliable vehicle  for daily commuting between locations.

  • Center hours are Monday–Friday, with limited weekend availability required.
