Security Officer - Armed Cultural Patrol
Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Armed Cultural Patrol in Detroit, MI. As a part-time security officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries including Cultural Institutions. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities :
Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including both the interior and perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.Monitor entry points and access areas to help deter prohibited items or unauthorized individuals from entering the premises.Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols.Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal management, local law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.Remain attentive to cultural and institutional considerations specific to the location while performing all assigned duties.What We're Looking For :

Must possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.A valid firearms permit is preferred.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us :
