The Director of Procurement leads the strategic direction and execution of global commodity strategies across direct and / or indirect categories. This role is responsible for optimizing global supply base performance, driving cost efficiencies, mitigating risks, and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. The Director will lead a team of commodity managers across regions and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver sustainable value and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global commodity strategies that align with business goals and market dynamics.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management for key commodities.
• Drive global sourcing initiatives to achieve cost savings, quality improvements, and risk mitigation.
• Monitor global market trends, supply chain risks, and geopolitical factors impacting commodity pricing and availability.
• Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, finance, and regional procurement teams to ensure alignment and execution.
• Establish and track KPIs, cost models, and performance metrics across commodities.
• Integrate analytics, automation, and procurement technologies to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
• Champion sustainability, diversity, and compliance initiatives within the supply base.
• Lead and develop a high-performing global commodity management team.
